Your Last-Minute Pre-Road Trip Checklist

Before you dash out of the driveway and start your long road trip, it will serve you well if you are taking a few minutes to pack the right emergency items in your vehicle. Here is what you need to put in your road trip emergency box:

In order to fix most issues with your car while on the road, you need a good assortment of tools. Just pile a little of everything in the box so you can fix just about anything. This includes a hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, and socket set. Make sure you bring plenty of flashlights and batteries in case trouble occurs during the night. Duct tape is one of those things you might not consider, but it can patch a hole in a radiator hose good enough so you can get to a service station.

Make certain you also set aside an afternoon so Damerow Ford can have our mechanics give your car a complete pre-road trip inspection.
